Where is the act based and how far will you travel?
This act is based in Bristol, UK and are happy to travel all over the UK and abroad!
How long does the act perform?
A standard evening would go something like this:
18:00 Arrival
19:30 Set up by
19:30 - 21:00 Playlist music or DJ
21:00 - 22:00 First dance/Set 1
22:00 - 22:30 Playlist music or DJ
22:30 - 23:30 Set 2
23:30 - 00:00 Playlist music or DJ
However this is just a guide and is flexible between 7.30pm & midnight.
What happens with the music between the acts sets?
We can provide a variety of options for you. If you have anything different in mind, please just ask!
Option 1: You provide an mp3 player/laptop/DJ to play through our system
Option 2: We provide a pre-mixed playlist
Option 3: We arrange a playlist from you and your guests suggestions
Option 4: We can provide a full DJ package including extra dance floor lights and at present over 100 days worth of songs, and for a much smaller fee than it would normally cost for a separate DJ we can provide the entire night's entertainment. Playing before, in-between and after the band, the DJ set is co-ordinated with the bands set list so that the music for your event is fully in sync. We encourage you to email over a playlist and/or songs/artists/genres that you would like to hear (or not!) in advance and of course you and your guests are more than welcome to make requests on the night. Please note, although happy to make any necessary announcements, we try and let the tunes do the talking, not the DJ!
Option 5: Professional DJ - We have a great network of top DJ's who can help cater for all tastes.
How do the act set up on stage?
We require a minimum area of 5m (w) x 3m (d) in order for the band to perform. You can download our stage plan here.
What do the act require at the venue?
We require an area of 5m (w) x 3m (d) in order for the band to perform and approx. 1 to 1hr 30mins to set up (depending on the band size, load-in and equipment hired).
Adequate electrical supply, i.e. a minimum of 2 standard 3 pin, 13 amp power sockets near the performance area that are independent, i.e. NOT shared with catering, disco, etc. This should save overloading any circuits!
If we are running off of a generator, we run no more than 3000 watts from a 230 volt supply = 13 amps.
Refreshments. It is customary to provide HOT food and water/soft drinks.
A lockable room to wait and change in.
What do the performers usually wear?
The act will always dress appropriately depending on the type of event. For example weddings/corporate events they will wear smart attire. They will always make the effort to dress up for any themed/fancy dress events. Please check out the gallery to see this acts usual clothing attire.
Can we make DJ requests in advance of the event?
If you have any specific songs you would like to be played via the DJ we would need to receive these prior to the event so we can include them into the playlist and we will do our best to accommodate as best we can. If we cannot provide the songs you would like then we would encourage you to provide your own laptop/MP3 device to play the songs that can then be plugged into the bands PA system.
Can I pick the acts setlist?
Although we don't apply a policy whereby you can select the whole show, if there are any songs you would particularly like to/not hear from our repertoire please let us know and we can arrange something for you. However, I would recommend keeping this to a minimum as we are constantly evolving a set that works great dynamically and keeps the vast majority of crowds happy!
Will you learn our special song?
The band are more than happy to play any songs that might be requested, however some songs can be unsuitable for the band to play. If this is the case we will let you know that they are unable to play your requested song. If you do have a special song that you would like the band to play for your event just let us know when making the booking. That way they will have plenty of time to learn it for you.
Can we use your sound system for speeches?
You are welcome to use our sound system for speeches, however if this requires the act to arrive at the venue earlier than scheduled, this will need to be taken into consideration and an extra fee may apply.
Can I provisionally book you?
Unfortunately this is something we do not offer. Due to being in high demand for various events we ask all our clients to secure the booking in advance so everything is planned with precision for your special event.
Does the act have PAT and PLI certificates?
We will always have up to date PAT and PLI certificates and can provide a copy of these upon request.
How do I make a booking?
If you decide you would like to proceed with a booking, we will email you a copy of our contract for you to sign digitally online (no printing required!). We also require 20% of the total to be paid as a booking fee, with the remainder due 14 days prior to the event.
How much do you charge?
The band endeavour to be as flexible as possible to suit your requirements. We will review your requests and tailor a quote specifically for you.
How do I pay?
Payment can be made via BACS (preferred), cheque (payable to: FD Entertainments Ltd) or cash.
