The Red Lemons have a reputation and genuine c.v. few other soul/funk bands can match. Formed in the late 80's while still in their teen's, the band oozed talent, class and musical ability. Their early reputation was based on barnstorming gig's at some of the UK's most prestigious live music venues; The 100 Club, Marquee and Mean Fiddler, plus sell out gig's at the Stourbridge and Dudley town hall; playing to over 2000 customers over 2 nights.
This led to TV appearances for Central TV and Paul Jones BBC 2 Blues programme. The band were then asked to be special guests of Led Zepplin's Robert Plant and amazingly the original Blues Brothers band, as per the film. Even the legendary Chuck Berry requested that they be special guests for a full UK tour.
The Red Lemons hold the appearance record at Ronnie Scotts, Birmingham, achieving capacity business each week long run they play. Other appearances at venues and festivals include; The Royal Albert Hall (London), North Sea Jazz Festival (Holland), Cork Jazz Festival (Ireland) - on 3 occasions, The Great British R'n'B festival and several shows in the Isle of Mann for the T.T.
The band are now led by the phenomenal lead vocals of Louise Warren, which has taken the band into a great new era, whilst never forgetting their great reputation of the past, Their brand new CD release is their finest record to date, self produced by the band, each track stands up as a fine example of the band talent.
