Funkty Dumpty are a professional funk, soul & disco functions band based in the South West of England who formed in early 2004. They have quickly gained a reputation as one of the best upbeat function bands in the UK and play nationally and internationally for any type of function from Corporate Events, Music Festivals and Masked Balls to Birthdays, Weddings and Christmas Parties.
With the emphatic vocals of singers Louise Coady & Lisa Thomas and the highly acclaimed band and backing singers, the band have built up a repertoire of the best of funk, soul & disco classics including Car Wash, Disco Inferno & Le Freak and also play current chart hits from artists including Christina Aguilera, Girls Aloud and Beyoncé
With previous clients such as The Sheraton Hotel Network, The Priory Park Hotel Network, The Thistle Hotel Network, GE Capital Bank, The NHS Nurses Convention, Exeter University, Bath Spa University and many weddings and private parties, Funkty Dumpty are a young, professional and experienced functions band. Having played in countries as far and wide as Abu Dhabi for the Sheraton Hotel's New Years Eve Party (2007/08), Italy at the Pennibilli Music Festival, Ireland at the Guiness Cork Jazz Festival and the Greek island of Mykonos as a guest of Contiki Holidays, they are as comfortable on the runway as they are on the M25!
Experienced Jazz, Rock, Blues and Pop players, the band also regularly play extra sets at events as either soloists, duets, trios or quartets as well as performing a complete rock and pop set with over 50+ songs to choose from.
Whether the 6, 7, 8 or 9 piece band are performing, Funkty Dumpty entertain all crowds no matter whom, when or where! If you are looking for an all-out energetic, entertaining party band, then you have found the perfect group in Funkty Dumpty.
Funkty Dumpty have fully PAT tested gear, public liability insurance and are members of the Musicians Union.

Extras
DJ: Funkty Dumpty have their own DJing equipment including extra lights and over 25,000+ songs and for a much smaller fee than it would cost for a separate DJ, we can provide the entire nights entertainment. Playing before, in-between and after the band, the DJ set is co-ordinated with the Bands set list so that the music for your event evolves together. Please note, we let the tunes do the talking not the DJ!
Background Music: Provided before, in-between and after the bands performance. (Inclusive with PA System)
Daytime music: Our musicians are also experienced jazz, blues, rock & pop performers and can tailor specialized sets if requested. We regularly play duets or full band instrumentals at events and the accomplished pianist and guitarist can also perform as soloists.

Funkty Dumpty were AMAZING!!!!! They went far beyond our expectations and everyone was raving about them! I would have no hesitation whatsoever to recommend them for other events and indeed I have already given your details to a few of my friends who are getting married over the next year.
I was a very disorganized bride and didn't even manage to get hold of the band before the day to say what kind of music we liked and in the end just got one of the ushers to give them a printout of their playlist with stars next to the ones we liked - not the best client I know! However, they were fantastic and played all our favourite music and had everyone dancing as soon as they started and we didn't stop dancing until 5am!
